Welcome to the FAQ !
✧What does it take to be featured in the Awards category?
Humanity's Hero: This award is usually given to the character that has demonstrated the most physical prowess and ability specifically when dealing with titans. They have proven themselves to be an invaluable and irreplaceable ally to humanity's war for survival. This heroic distinction gives the character's respective legion the highest honor.
Most Courageous: This award recgonizes the character that has made a significant sacrifice for their comrades. It's not always easy to make the right call and it requires a profound amount bravery and courage to take charge of a situation and accept the consequences that follow.
Most Cowardly: Not everyone can adapt well to the emotional and physical demands of life in Shingeki no Hetalia. When a situation proves to be too tough for some to handle they may run away or completely freeze in the face of danger. New cadets are frequently featured in this category.
✧Can your character lose their rank/positon or be demoted?
Yes. Starting off your character will be instantly given their chosen rank if requested in your application. However, since there is a limited amount of high ranking positions, you must constantly prove that you are worthy of your title so it will not be taken away. Commanders may choose to demote your character if you have been slacking off on your responsibilities or have caused a significant amount of casualties. They may also choose to demote you if someone else has proven themselves more capable of handling your position. These decisions do not always have to be permanent and may be used as temporary punishments from corresponding commanders or even to allow high ranking members a break from the stress they are put under by temporarily replacing them. Commanders must inform the relevant party members of their impending decision so they can be given time to correct their 'mistakes' if they are not being deliberately made. Some members may completely agree with the decision and choose to be willingly demoted for drama purposes. Commanders must PM an admin before they make their decision final.
✧Why can't members have two titan shifters?
Since there is a limited number of titan shifters positions available, it is only fair to limit each member to only 1 titan shifter so others can be given the opportunity to apply for shifter positions.
✧Do I have to use the exact canon age for the character I'm applying for?
Nope! If you want to age up or age down a character somewhat that's fine, as long as it makes sense to do so. For instance, making Eren Jaeger sixty years old doesn't entirely work, but if you are applying as one of the younger characters from Hetalia and want them to be old enough to be trainees, that's perfectly okay.
✧Drugs, Alcohol, and Medicine?
Let's start with alcohol. While it may not be a rarity, the stronger the alcohol the harder it is to obtain. Since beer and ale are incredibly easy to make with just the simple ingredients of yeast, barley, and water, it is the easiest form of alcohol to come across. Stronger drinks such as vodka, rum, other hard liquors, and wine are more for higher class citizens who reside in Sina and so forth. Onto drugs now: in this universe, opium functions as soothing pain killer and a healing remedy. However, when used wrong, it can becoming incredibly addictive, dangerous, and lethal. Speaking of medicine, while it's safe to assume that nearly everyone knows a little first aid, it takes more specialized medical training to become a medic or a doctor. Technology-wise, the practice of medicine is advanced, but not superbly so (think late 1800s). So things that exist would include steel tools, surgery (in some cases under rudimentary anesthesia), the fundamentals of germ theory, and compounded drugs; things that would not exist include x-rays, advanced microscopes, and penicillin (along with most modern machines).
✧If I have two characters, can both of them have high ranking positions?
No. Just like the rule of Titan Shifters (One per character) it would only be fair if one of your character has a high ranking position. This gives others the opportunity to claim ranks since it is a first come first serve basis.
