その日人類は思い出したXXXヤツらに支配されていた恐怖をXXX鳥籠の中に囚われていた屈辱を On that day, mankind received a grim reminder... Sadik Adnan Age: 39 Gender: Male Ethnicity: Turkey Rank: Corporal Birthday: October 29th Physical Appearance: Image goes here under a hyperlink Distinguishing Features: Sadik is rather broad through the shoulders and muscular, but the most distinguishing features is the double curl on the back of his neck and the fact he wears a mask when fighting. He also has a scar that runs over his right eye from just above his eyebrow to the middle of his cheek Personality: Many people view Sadik as the goofy one, the one that always starts unneeded fights and can’t take anything seriously. Well, this is only half of the story. Sadik’s basic personality is that of a goofy, well-meaning man who tries to help out those who ask in any way he can, to certain limits of course. He loves to joke around and just have a good time when he can. As nice as he usually seems, he has moments when he can be a complete ass. This is sometimes on purpose, but it’s mostly by accident when he speaks before he thinks. He can also be rather simple and have moments where he needs things explained to him in simple terms. On the flip side he is sometimes the wise old man, giving very deep, thoughtful advice. While not a genius with strategy, he is usually pretty good at it when he has all the facts and knows what needs to be accomplished. A lot of his ability to strategize has come from him living a lot longer than most people seem to, and fighting/observing for a good majority of it. Never call him old though, he will immediately freak out and shout that he’s not. He feels that just because he has crow’s feet around his eyes does not mean he’s old. He attributes this to a heard life and the stress of fighting the titans and watching friends die. One the flip side of his goofy, fell-meaning self, Sadik is a very paranoid person and doesn’t trust easily. He’s been hurt too many times in the past with so called friends to place his full trust in someone until they prove themselves. Once he trusts someone enough to where they become friends, he will go to any lengths for them and his family, and this goes double for any lover he may take. He will protect his family with his life as family means everything to him. He will even protect them from himself. Sometimes if he's pissed enough he has to leave before he hits the point that he just kicks the ass of whoever is pissing him off, 'cause that's not acceptable outside of training and sparing matches; but if he sticks around he won't be able to stop himself. If he actually did hit a person he was close to or his love, Sadik would feel horrible, like he doesn’t deserve forgiveness. This would be the lowest of the low for him and would do anything to apologize for it, including letting the one he hit, hit him back, whatever it took. Fortunately, this happens very rarely and it takes a lot of repressed anger to get him to this point. Fortunately, he can get out a lot of then fighting the titans. Along with family meaning everything to him, he also has a deep respect for woman. He knows that women are great fighters and most of the ones he serves with can and has kicked his ass. As can be seen by his ass behavior and sticking his foot in his mouth, Sadik isn’t always the best with words outside of work and relies more on actions to express what he wants to show. He is a very touchy-feely person who loves personal contact. He will usually just put a hand on an arm or throw an arm around a shoulder History: When Sadik was around the age of fifteen, he could have been called a bully. He often picked on others and in general, made their lives miserable. This could be said he was miserable himself. His family loved him and took care of him, but he was bored. There was nothing to stimulate his interest in school or in life in general. It wasn't long though till someone actually saw this behavior for what it was. This woman was the main instructor of a dance school. Unwilling to go at first, he refused the lessons she offered, thinking that dancing was just for girls and who wanted to do something like dancing when he could pick on other kids and at least get some fun out of it. This was where the woman went above his head; she went to his parents. They had seen a change in his behavior and knew that he was becoming mean and making as ass out of himself, but they didn't know how far it went. They forced him to attend the dance classes. When the classes started, he was the same. He treated the other students badly and it didn’t help that he was the only male in the class. After a week of picking on the female students and sitting on the sidelines frowning, the teachers wouldn’t put up with it anymore. The male teacher pulled Sadik aside after class and talked to him. Well, issued a challenge to him. He had observed that Sadik responded best to dares and contetsts, so this was a way to reach him. All he had to do was to participate in class for one month, fully participate with little to no mean behavior. If at the end of it, if Sadik kept up his end of the deal, he would be dismissed from class as he wished and wouldn’t be bothered again. Thrilled for this chance out and he could see the fact that the teacher didn’t think he could do it in those violet eyes, he took the challenge and put everything he could into the practices, all so he could leave the awful dance classes. It was during this time that Sadik’s grades started getting better. By the end of the month, the classes weren’t so awful. He was actually enjoying himself. It was then that the male teacher approached him again and said he had completed the challenge and could leave if he wished. Sadik said he would stay. While people may find out about these dancing classes, it’s not commonly known it was belly dancing. During all this training, he gained muscle and flexibility and a sense to where his center of balance was located. He could disprove the falsehood of those that say that those who are muscular aren’t flexible and limber as well. It took a few years, but he became proficient enough to make a career of it. He found a nice club and worked there. But this quickly bored him. He liked dancing, but it was the same thing every day and things we becoming less and less safe. A new job was needed. It was then that he really started paying attention around him to the army. Yes, he knew the scouting legion went outside of the walls, and they usually came back in pieces, but there were other options. The wall guards for one. He admired the hard work they did, even if most of the army seemed to be a joke anymore. With how much he had changed, Sadik thought that he could do something positive for the army. Joining the army at the age of twenty was a hard decision, but one he didn’t regret. His parents were worried about him, but supported him. The classes were hand are training wasn’t easy, but he managed. The suspension training was interesting. It took a few times for him to master it, but it was just a matter of time till he relaxed and just let his body find its balance in the ropes. This was also the time when he was injured to the point he wasn't sure if he could continue in the roll he wanted to. There was an accident with some of the equipment and his eye was injured. Being in the military got him the needed medical attention quickly and was only out of action for a while. He started practicing learning how to fight with one eye just in case he lost his vision in that eye, but it was extremely tough and nearly impossible with the maneuver gear. Returning to his family during this hard time, they supported him and on the day his bandages were supposed to come off, his dad gave him a gift, a white mask. He knew how Sadik felt about the facial injury and thought he could wear it. Keeping it, he waited till the day the bandages were taken off to see if he wanted it. His eye was slow to focus, but he was relieved to see he still had perfect vision and a nice scar over his eye. He decided he would keep the mask, but the scar didn't bother him, he would just wear it when fighting. It was also during these classes that Sadik found he excelled during planning. He might not have been as great at it as the commander, but he was good. Soon it became time to join one of the three legions. He wasn’t high enough in the graduating class to join the military police, and he didn’t want to join the scouting legion, so it was the garrison for him. His injury wouldn't hinder him from this division and he knew it would be where he would do the most good. Once in the garrison, he feel into the duty and found he enjoyed it. He trained and spared, and still generally made an ass of himself, but it came to be expected of him. Sadik didn’t always know when to keep his mouth shut. While he didn’t always know when to keep his mouth shut and insulted people, military matters were a different matter. It took a few years, but he eventually made his way up to the rank of corporal. Life was peaceful, he found out he had a new brother, all seemed right with the world. The world was good, until the wall was breached. And from there, as they say it, is history. In fact, when he finds himself a moment of spare time, he loves to hang out with his comrades and shoot the breeze and . +Dancing: Give Sadik a chance to dance and he will take it. Dancing has given him good coordination and balance, which only helps him in the long run. Dislikes: Backstabbers: Sadik is a man of his word and cannot stand others who break theirs. That is the quickest way to ruin a friendship with him. If someone betrayed him once, what’s to say they won’t do it again? -People he can’t figure out: Sadik likes to try and figure out people and how they will behave, but every once in a while, there is someone he can’t figure out why they behave as they do and it drives him crazy, He has to be able to predict behavior to get plans to work, hence why there are plans within plans in case some things don't go as expected. This is why he thinks the research on titans are important. the more you know about them, the better you can plan to defeat them. -Cold: The colder temperatures make his old wounds hurt and hampers battles, leaving more chances for people to die because of carelessness and inability to move well. -Being called old: As far as he’s concerned. This is a sure-fire way to get yelled at. He might be in his thirties, but he's still as spry as a kid half his age and can sill kick their ass. Strengths: + Helping others: Sadoq loves to help others, especially his friends and family. He would do anything for them. + Listening: Despite how Sadik appears to most of the other Nations, he is a really good listener and will always listen to people when they need a shoulder to cry on. + Cheering people up: Always smiling and laughing, cracking jokes and sharing funny stuff that other Nations get themselves into, Sadik loves to make others smile. + Staying strong: No matter what has happened, Sadik has always pulled himself up by his bootstraps and overcome any situation. He might seem like he’s down and out sometimes, but give him a bit to get his head straight, and he’ll be a rock again. + Never giving up: Once Sadik has his mind set on something, he will peruse it until it he achieves his goal. +Stubbornness: Sadik is very stubborn, almost to the point of being called bull-headed. It is very hard to change his mind once he has it set, he will need to be shown why he should change it along with why he was wrong in the first place. It can be like talking to a brick wall at points with how stubborn he is. +Not afraid of Death: Sadik isn’t afraid of dying, he came to terms with his potential death when the Ottoman Empire became the Republic of Turkey as he had no idea if he was going to survive or be replaced by a new personification. He won’t actively go out trying to court and dance with death, but he won’t run from it if he sees it coming. He’ll face it with pride and no regret, especially if he died in defense of a close friend or loved one. +Strength: Sadik is a physically strong nation, the phrase ‘Strong as a Turk’ had to come from somewhere after all +Quickness: Sadik is very quick on his feet, being able to catch a pickpocket in Istanbul that had alluded capture quite a few times. +Loyalty: Sadik is a very loyal person. He will always stick by his friends, and as much loyality as he will always be loyal to his friend. He expects loyalty in return of course, as nothing is a one way street. It would take something horrendous to make him break his loyalty Weaknesses: - His temper: He usually has pretty good control over it, but when Sadik loses it, he loses it. -Planning skills: Sadik works better with thinking on the fly; when he actually tries to plan things out, they usually fall apart and nothing works how it should. - Speaks without thinking: Sadik usually just says whatever he thinks and his has led to many time of him having his foot in his mouth, having to make amends for accidental insults. - Assuming the worse: When things start going bad, he tends to assume the worst is going to happen and tries to plan out what to do when it does. - Being alone: He’s spent many years alone so he is used to it, he just doesn’t like the quietness that comes with it. - Competition: He loves a good competition as he loves to win, though this will often lead him into trouble and doing something stupid because if someone makes anything a competition, he will usually accept the challenge. Fears: ~ Losing close loved ones: It takes Sadik a while to learn to trust others, but those he does, he will trust them with guarding his back; he will leave his life in their hands. He depends on these people. Losing friends is hard on him. While he might not show it on the outside except to a select few, internally he’d be a wreck. ~ His temper: Sadik knows he has a bad temper and can be violent, but gotten a lot better at controlling it . When he loses control of it, he fears that he will hit someone…though exceptions are made for certain other people who don’t take it personally. He’s afraid that one day his temper will get the best of him and he’ll do serious damage to someone he actually cares about. Quirks: Wears a mask while fighting. It belonged to his grandfather and while others may think its stupid and idiotic, its not. Sadik has full range of vision and it’s a physical reminded that in order to fight monsters , one must be able to become a monster and give up your humanity. Addicted to apple juice. He loves the stuff and is his choice beverage after a hard mission while other people might be off drinking alchohol. Skillset: Physical Strength: 9 Intelligence: 7 Teamwork: 9 Confidence: 10 Agility: 8 Roleplay Sample: It was a dark night out, and Sadik was happy. He liked when it was dark and he could watch the moon rising over the sea. The feel of the water on his feet along with the sounds of the waves breaking over the rocks was music to his ears. It was times like this that he wished he had more free time. Taking a deep breath, he smelled the salty air and breathed out slowly. His mind cleared and he started meditating, trying to refresh his mind of what he was doing before he arrived at the beach. He couldn’t remember, how odd was that? Worry flittered across his mind, only to be replaced by the peace of the sea brought on by the crashing of the waves. Friends will miss you Sadik scrunched his face up at the random thought that floated through his head. He tried to follow where it would take him but he found himself led back to the tranquil state that he had achieved. Vaguely noticing that the tide was rising and was at his waist, he thought about moving to a different part of the beach he was on, but found he couldn’t move out of his siting position. Concern ran through him but was quickly pushed aside by the peacefulness that throated through him again. Get up, get to safety Hearing the thought again, he moved slightly and tried to open his eyes, but they only fluttered. If anyone would have seen him, they would have seen that his emerald green eyes were rolled back in his head. Getting caught up in the peacefulness once again, his eyes shut again and he was drawn back into the peacefulness of the meditative state. He sat there for what felt like another hour or more, just drifting in the emptiness of his mind before he realized he was cold. Not understanding why he was cold when it was a warm night, he tried to move again only to feel the water against his neck. As this realization came, he realized he couldn’t breathe. As he struggled for a single breath, he realized the water was over his head and he was going to drown. His throat and chest burned with the need to get the life-sustaining oxygen into his lungs, and he completely lost it. He tried to thrash and finally broke free of whatever force was controlling him. Finally able to move, he jerked his body around until he broke free of the water and was finally able to open his eyes. Green eyes looked around and saw himself in a bathroom he didn’t remember entering. Last he actually remembered, he was in the kitchen trying to see if there was any apple juice. It had to have been the house, the house was creepy and they had to get out before the death toll piled up. Coming out of his thoughts, he looked up in time to see a dark shadow floating away from him and through the wall. Reaching up, he turned off the water and sat up in the bathtub. The house had almost claimed a life and the life had been his. Additional Information (OOC): Name/Nickname: Silv/ Turk/My Time Zone EST Contact Info: pm’s.
