General Rules

• Shingeki no Hetalia is spoiler heavy! Please keep in mind that everyone’s knowledge differs depending on what they’ve seen or read. Because we can’t efficiently moderate spoilers please make sure to ask members you are roleplaying with if spoilers are welcome or not.
  
  
• Shingeki no Hetalia is a literate roleplay site. One liners are not acceptable in threads and all posts must be at least 250 words or more.
  
  
• If you’d like to pair with someone please ask the other party for their permission first. Not everyone ships the same thing. We know coupling can give a roleplay experience more excitement and depth and we encourage it. Please respect that some people may not always want to pair up.
  
  
• You must be at least 16 years of age to join Shingeki no Hetalia due to the graphic nature and content on the site.
  
  
• No god-moding or killing another member’s character without their permission.
  
  
• Only people who are actually members are allowed to post on Shingeki no Hetalia or its C-Box (note: prospective members and curious people are welcome in the C-Box, but spamming will not be tolerated).
  
  
• Keep your avatar images (and all images you post on Shingeki no Hetalia) PG! No nudity or highly implied sexual content of any kind is permitted.
  
  
• This isn’t Shingeki no Pornography. Sex will not be permitted in the cbox or on the forum. Please take any explicit sexual content to private messages.
  
  
• We understand that the SNK verse can be both violent and bloody. As such this forum will allow a moderated amount of gore. Please include ‘TW Gore’ in thread titles where there is anything potentially graphic, i.e. a loss of limb or serious injury. NOTE. Any thread with a titan present will automatically be given a ‘TW Gore’ warning. NOTE. *. All ‘Death Threads’ must also be tagged with ‘TW Gore’.
  
  
• Include the word ‘JEAGER’ at the bottom of your application to prove that you’ve read the rules.
  
  
• You may only roleplay in the C-Box as the character(s) you have claimed on the forum. 
  
  
• Roleplays in the C-Box are not considered canon. If you want to make something canon please take it to the threads.
  
  
• If you wish to drop a current character for another character, please contact an admin and say which character you are dropping. Wait until you receive a reply, then you may audition for the new character.
  
  
• Please keep cursing to a minimum. We are well aware that many characters in the SNK verse curse often but please remain respectful to each other and play nice. Any OOC fighting must be taken off the forum.

Application Rules

• Profiles must be submitted within one week of character reservation.
  
  
• If you do not finish your profile by its due date, it will be moved to the 'Late Applications' category. From then you will have three days to finish it before your character is officially dropped and re-opened for other applicants.
  
  
• You may only apply for your second character after you have made 15 IC posts for your first character.
  
  
• No more than two characters will be permitted per person.
  
  
• If you wish to apply for a character and make them a titan shifter. Currently, there are only 3 available slots for new/OC titan shifters. We do not want the ratio between humans and titan shifters to even out. The number of normal human beings should always drastically outweigh the number of titan shifters. If you apply for canon titan shifters such as Eren Jeager or Ymir they do not take up one of these 3 slots. After the slots have been filled there will be a break period before we will be open again to titan shifters. NOTE. If you apply for two characters only one of them is allowed to be a titan shifter.
  
  
• If you wish to apply for a character with a rank of commander, corporal or captain please refer to the RANKS thread for descriptions and information on each. Also be sure to check the Announcements board for open position updates.
  
  
• Shingeki no Hetalia is a crossover site. You may apply as any canon SNK character or canon Hetalia character.
  
  
• OCs are permitted but you must follow the same application format as you would with a canon character.
  
  
• Genderbent characters are also permitted, however the original character position will be considered taken. For example, if you apply as Male Mikasa, Mikasa is no longer an available character.

Activity

• You must have at least one post per every two weeks to remain active! You are required to post in our monthly Activity Checks (twice a month) in order to keep your character. Include your name and a link to your most recent thread/post.
  
  
• If you go two weeks without posting (unless you are on an announced hiatus) your character will be deactivated and re-opened for other roleplayers. You can reclaim your character by sending an admin a PM upon you return. Your character will be reassigned to you without fault assuming someone else hasn’t already applied for or taken that character.
  
  
• Between school, work and personal commitments we are well aware not everyone will be able to stay active. If you know you have pressing engagements please post in the Hiatus Thread so admins can reserve your character. If you do not post in the Hiatus Thread we will assume you have abandoned your character after two weeks and put them back up for grabs.

Death

Death is permitted and encouraged in Shingeki no Hetalia. The nature of their world makes it impossible for everyone to survive so realistically we expect character deaths. You may kill off your character under the following two circumstances;

1.) You're killing off your character to swap out for another character or to leave the forum completely. All previous activity done by your character will no longer be considered canon and the character position completely re-opens. You may choose to thread your death.

2.) If you wish to kill your character but still remain on the board as that character. For dramatic purposes you may kill off you character in individual threads. These threads are considered *‘Death Threads’ and you must specify when creating a Death Thread by putting the word ‘Death’ in parenthesis within the thread title, i.e. Lost in the Woods (Death). Your character can and will still be considered alive in any new or pre-existing threads. ‘Death Threads’ will be treated an individual plots and will not affect the main plot.

Titan Events

• Titans are controlled by staff members.
  
  
• Titans can only show up in locations that are labeled as 'Titan Zones'.
  
  
• If you post in a 'Titan Zone' admins will assume that you have given them permission to have interaction with your character(s) as a titan.
  
  
• Not all Titan interactions result in death or injury. However, unlike members titans are allowed to god-mod. Meaning they can assume they hit a character or grab them. Titans will not kill a member unless requested to specifically.
  
  
• We highly encourage titan shifters to battle against titans.
  
  
• If your character(s) successfully defeat a titan you may potentially be featured in the Humanity's Hero or Most Courageous award categories. Depending on your rank, a significant amount of titan killing may result in a promotion by your commander or a reassignment into a more experienced squad. For example, if your character kills enough titans they may be invited to join the Levi Squad. However, if you let your fear cloud your judgement you may be featured in the Most Cowardly award category.
  
  
•  You may request a titan by sending an admin a PM. 
  
  
• Threads posted in a 'Titan Zones' are chosen at random to have a titan encounter. Not all threads will have a titan encounter. This rule is used deliberately to make roleplays in 'Titan Zones' unpredictable.
