その日人類は思い出したXXXヤツらに支配されていた恐怖をXXX鳥籠の中に囚われていた屈辱を On that day, mankind received a grim reminder... Mihai Ionescu Age: 24 Gender: Male Ethnicity: Romanian Rank: Cadet, Scouting Legion Birthday: Dec, 1st. Physical Appearance: Picture! Mihai isn’t particularly tall, standing at 1,71cm. Not very muscular either, he doesn’t spend more than absolutely needed working out; he’s fit and lean, focusing on his agility rather than his strength. He has big brown eyes that may look orange-ish under certain lights, and an ashen blond hair, styled into a shaggy bob cut. Distinguishing Features: Definitely his eyes, which are very expressive. And his teeth; ever since a fall in his late childhood, Mihai’s been sporting a chipped canine that seems overly long and sharp. Personality: At first glance, Mihai may seem like a bubbly, talkative social butterfly. People noticed he is always smiling, and nothing seems to ruin his mood. Leave Mihai alone for too long, and you’ll soon see him chatting with his own shadow. Being cheerful regardless of the circumstances are one of Mihai's best features, and possibly most annoying too, depending on who’s listening. Eloquent for a street boy, he’s been called charming before... Very charming if the mood strikes. The boy has a way with words that often gets him exactly where he wants, when he wants. Making acquaintances comes very naturally to him, and he’ll be able to find good qualities in nearly about everyone he meets. Those who know him one step beyond the small talk with often notice that Mihai is full of little oddities. He’s extremely flamboyant about his tastes and opinions, and he doesn’t shy away from discussions. He can be passionate and engage in philosophical rants that are actually based in his own ideas. Mihai has a curious mind, which is always exploring the world around him, but that at the same time has no patience for real science and in depth knowledge. He may ask himself why the sky is blue, but he won’t bother understanding the laws of light refraction behind it. This sped up pace of thoughts gives him the ability to strategize quickly in battle, but he will often neglect to tell his companions about his new approach, being both too focused on the task and at the same time, too distracted with it. He is very spontaneous in and out of fights, which makes his behavior hard to predict. That said, Mihai gets bored really quickly when he’s not in action. Since he was a kid, pestering others has been one of his favorite hobbies (if not the only one), and he considers himself a master in the art of pranking people. They are usually harmless, played for laughs, but don’t allow yourself to fall on his wrong side, or you will be in for war. Mihai can get very destructive if annoyed or offended, and is usually the first one to cross the harmless/harmful lines in any relationship. Even so, his way with words and people would often land him just safe of trouble, in case he was ever caught doing mischief. He adores dancing around people with words, telling stories and having his audience look right when he goes left. It's a talent that he's not even ashamed of. In the army, his ways have changed little, and if anything, the jokes now have the potential to become lethal. While not being a full on psychopath, Mihai does present narcissistic tendencies (of doing whatever he wants, whenever he wants), and will hold grudges for years if he’s seriously wronged. He’s not above backstabbing and blackmailing. There is one person worth saving in the world and that is Mihai himself. He may take orders, but he’s not ready to die just yet. History: Mihai Ionescu’s father passed before he could remember. His mother did try to raise a boy alone, but it proved too much of a task, even in a quiet village in the outskirts of Wall Maria. She took him for a walk in the woods, and before he realized, Mihai was alone, never to see her again. He was five at the time, but Mihai found his way back to the village, eventually, only to find their house empty and his mother gone. Unacknowledged by the authorities, he fended for himself on the few years to come. Being a chatty, charismatic boy, Mihai made friends between the bakers and innkeepers in their village, often gaining a place to sleep in and some left overs. During rough times, he’d simply take his share. Having to fight and steal to survive, he developed great swiftness and grace. Growing on his own, Mihai found out too early that words alone wouldn’t get him as far as he needed, aside from his little “connections”, he would challenge the boys around to fights, in order to establish his turf. In one of these, he met what would become his first true, age appropriate friend, a boy called Marko. The two hit it off right away, often engaging in little mischief. The two would never be seen without each other, inseparable even after Marko’s losses. Two orphaned boys with nothing in the world to lose but each other, together they decided with him to join the army. Both of them had big plans, to join the Military Police and drink and gamble their entire life earnings in Sina. Even during training, the two were inseparable and nearly unstoppable. Each in their own way, both boys seemed to do well with the army life, and Mihai had finally found himself a home, and some new friends. Mihai’s skills with the maneuver gear were near perfect, but he did barely above the average in the theoretical classes. Fate had different plans for them, so when the results arrived and only Marko had gotten into the top 10% of the class, Mihai was heartbroken. Used to struggling against all odds, however, he didn’t allow Marko’s departure into the Military Troops to keep him down for too long, so instead Mihai decided to do the best he still could, and join the Scouting Legion. Wasting away within the Military was one thing in his mind, the other was to stay near the walls, much like he had seen men do all his life. The option didn’t sit well for him, not after he failed to make the cut. No one lives forever, was what he told himself at the time. Within his first few weeks, he met Gilbert again, whose face he hadn’t seen since his first year of training. At first, Gilbert tried acting more like a mentor to the newcomer, but the two eventually settled as friends, when Mihai proved somewhat unreliable and wild as a pupil, for the elder’s frustration. With Mihai’s impulsive, mischievous nature and talent for not getting caught, the two soon developed the bad habit of pulling pranks on nearly everyone around them. It’s never really serious, nor heavy damaging. Mihai and Gilbert still had the tendency to bicker while at it, so it would often result in the two being punished together. Mihai may not be the best fighter, nor the brightest, but combines agility both physical and mental along with creativity to kick serious titan ass. Mihai has never been one to be let down by the circumstances, so it’s not unheard of to see him humming and smiling during the most gruesome battles. Mihai is often one of the first to volunteer for missions, not out of bravery itself, but out of excitement. He has, since joining the Scouting Legion, found a purpose in killing the titans that terrorize humanity, and then maybe, one day, be able to find his old friend again. Likes: • Alcohol; The best thing to spent time, really. • Money; It makes the world go round. Shame Mihai never seems to have much of it. • Stories; the guy loves being entertained with great tales of adventure in faraway lands. If there's a happy ending, even better. Just watch out when it's his time to talk, it might be hard to make him stop. • Blood; He has a morbid fascination for watching it splatter and run and drip. It's even better if it’s mixed with titan’s. Dislikes: • Boredom; the boy might be bordering hyper-activeness, but truth is, it's hard to keep him still for too long. Just let him look around and touch stuff, and you'll spare yourself a headache. He won't break anything. Most likely. • Sun; it's bright, it's hot, it's unbearable. Mihai is a natural night owl, he'll prefer traveling at night. • Seriousness; Mihai enjoys a good laugh, often played at the expense of others. He does not work well with over organized, cold, stressed out people. • Loneliness; He's a people's person. He enjoys chatting and fooling around, but it's hardly any fun without anyone to share the blame with. He loves hugs and kisses, too. Strengths: • Creative: He’s used to always finding a way out of the stickiest situations, even if not the easiest or the most obvious, sometimes. He’s crafty, and knows how to exploit the environment in a fight. • Flexible: Being a little street rat all his life, Mihai has developed an incredibly flexible body, that can fit and bend and spin much beyond normal folk. It's what makes him so good with the 3dMG, as Mihai was falling, jumping and rolling much before he got in the army. He will adapt well and fast to mental changes as well, such as new orders and new challenges. • Energetic: Mihai can’t sit still for too long. He’s always after something to do, and while it’s not the easiest trait to live with, he has good stamina in battle and is often seen attempting to cheer the men around. • Ruthless: Don’t take his scrawny body fool you, Mihai kills titans and enjoys doing it. He won’t appreciate any excuses not to, or anyone standing in his way. Weaknesses: • Selfish: He’s aware he’s not out there killing titans for anyone’s sake. He may say that, to look good, but deep inside he knows he’s grown fond of slashing the creatures around, and loves being pat on the back for doing a good job in the fight. • Reckless: Sometimes he puts himself and others into unnecessary danger, knowingly or not. • Desensitized: With a few handpicked exceptions, he’s not too worried about the well being of others. • Vengeful; One should be careful not to upset Mihai, he will hold a grudge for years. He will take every chance he gets to get even, including but not limited to backstabbing and blackmailing. It may be problematic during teamwork missions, especially if he feels threatened by a “rival”. Fears: • Death; the guy lives around it, and has a somewhat disturbed sense of humor, but it all comes down to it, Mihai is terrified of being eaten. He doesn't particularly mind the pain that comes with it, but he'll do anything to escape the end. • Helplessness; Mihai has always been his own boss; a free spirit living in the shadows of the town. He's always been able to do whatever he wants, hardly (and if ever) held back even by laws. Losing a limb or any senses would crush him, possibly beyond repair. Quirks: • Won’t eat garlic, he says it burns. • Has the most erratic sleeping schedule ever seen; he can get no sleep at all for days and be fine, or he can sleep for 34 hours non-stop, and also be fine. • Can parkour (without the 3dGM, mind you). Skillset: Physical Strength: 4/10 Intelligence: 8/10 Teamwork: 4/10 Confidence: 6/10 Agility: 10/10 Roleplay Sample: (Gods Incarnated AU) Few things were quite as satisfying as slipping from his Order’s scrutinizing stares and just roaming free around a big city. As Mihai walked down one of the many streets of the Archades’ marketplace, fully dressed in civilian clothes, one couldn’t look more inconspicuous. Cheerful to the point of humming to himself, the adept browsed the stalls for what seemed to be hours, until night fell and the shops closed. Like an Esper’s gift though, just around the corner, he found a pub. Time to make the day more interesting… Heads turned when the boy waltzed in, short and scrawny looking, and Mihai smiled as usual when people watched him come. The Oracle cleared his throat as he announced: “Gentlemen.” And he pulled a velvet little bag from under his clothes. “A bag of coins for the man who defeats me in a shot contest.” Some people laughed, mocking the newcomer, and some smiled, already picturing themselves spending the easily earned cash. No one smirked brighter than Mihai. Fast forward a couple of hours, and Mihai had most of the tavern cheering him on around a table, across from his fiercest contestant so far. The wizard was past the drunken point, but his fans didn’t need to know, right? As long as he kept drinking. Ten. With another shot down, he smiled to the man sitting with him. He couldn’t possibly last much longer; Mihai knew they had all been drinking before he arrived. “Ready to give up, big boy?” The man hiccupped a laugh in reply, and shot down his tenth glass, slamming it back on the table louder than necessary. They both gestured the waitress for another. “Fine, fine.” The Oracle laughed. The guy was a good sport, at least. Cheers to you! Eleven. Mihai was pretty sure he wouldn’t walk away from this. Maybe crawl back to his sanctuary, if he could even find the way in this state, and beg the monks not to be too harsh on their punishments. The contestant put his empty glass down, but his hands were starting to shake. That would be painful in the morning, if the man prayed to the wrong One. Twelve. And one to the God who won’t let you have a hangover! At that point, Mihai was starting to wonder how many more shots the man could handle before throwing up, but his answer came as he raised the thirteenth glass. The guy looked at him, frowning and wobbling, before doubling over and emptying his stomach’s contents on the floor. Mihai took the next shot, under the stares of the entire bar. It did take him a moment to swallow, cheeks puffed with the vodka as he looked back at the people. There was a moment of silence and time seemed to stop as expectancy rose. Would he follow the contestant’s fate? With a drunken grin, though, the Oracle swallowed the drink and rose his hands to announce himself the winner. If the tavern had been cheering before, the screams were deafening now, and Mihai lost count (on the third, mind you) of the pats over his back. He barely registered when someone pulled him up by the arms and passed him around over the men’s heads. Hell yeah, worship me! When Mihai was put down again, his legs faltered and he had to grip the closes thing not to land face first on the floor. It just happened to be a chair, so he quickly sat on it. In his immediate front, sat an amused looking girl with dark hair. Use your best smile, Mihai. There was an attempt to stun the girl with his good looks. “Hi!” Additional Information (OOC): Name/Nickname: Ju/Joo Time Zone: +3?
